Slushie Flavors with Shaved Ice Syrup

To begin serving slushies or granitas, you’ll need to calculate how much syrup and water you need to add to your slush machine. 1-800-Shaved-Ice recommends using a 3 to 1 ratio. Three-parts water and one-part flavored syrup.

For example, if you are using the Bunn Ultra-2 Slush Machine with two 3-gallon hoppers you would fill each hopper with 2 ¼ gallons of water and ¾ gallon of syrup [please review your machines owner’s manual for usage and safety tips]. However, if you sample the slush and decide it has too much flavor simply add a little water, or maybe it tastes watered down then add a little flavor. You be the judge.
